Coming this March…
The fifth installment of the Backworlds series. It picks up where Beyond the Edge leaves off and begins the story of Earth and Foreworlds, weaving together a more complete vision of the future I created for humanity.
Worlds on Edge
Backworlds Book 5
War is coming. A horde of merciless aliens poise just beyond the Edge. In a matter of weeks they will devour the worlds.
Racing ahead of the apocalypse, Craze returns to the Backworlds to warn them and plan a defense. Only he can’t go home. Banned from Pardeep Station, he must wage a more urgent battle. His moon is under siege, and his friends are dying.
Bad things come in threes, and the galaxy is no exception. An old enemy returns, attacking moons and defenseless globes, leaving a wake of destruction. Worse than that, they threaten to join forces with the alien horde.
Defeat seems inevitable. Craze may not be able to stop it. Yet home is worth the fight.

The Size of Three Football Fields
NEA 2000 EM26 passed by Earth Monday night this week. The size of three football fields it came very close. Since it was cloudy here, I couldn’t see any sky. Bummer. You can find it on the internet… of course.
Weekend of February 7th, all of winter descended upon us. We had no winter and then it decided to dump on us all at once. Over two feet of snow. I was really bummed because I was featured in the local newspaper on February 8th, and there was no way to get out to the store to get a copy. Husband Unit threatened to try. I forbade it. Fortunately, it was online. And kindly, a neighbor gave me her copy of the paper. You can read the article HERE.
Worlds on Edge is back from my editor, so that’s what I’m working on.
I spent the last few weeks working on a short story. Decided the story was too rushed and dropped it for now. To do it justice, it has to be a much longer work. So I set it aside and gave the Twisted Earths anthology “Patchworker 2.0” instead. I could have saved myself a lot of work by starting with that move, but now I’m 10K into a story I can develop at a future date.
I’m also working on the workshop I’m giving in April. I decided to teach the page turner.
I lived like a pioneer most of last week without running water. During that snow storm with the over two feet of snow, a water pipe outside cracked that fed water from the main line into the house. Good thing there was lots of snow to melt and a lot of rain. Last week was just a hard week. So I leave you with…
Be kind to folks.
