Hey! I’m back from writer hell [editing and formatting]. I still have to finish the paperback formatting for Beyond the Edge, however, the ebook is done. As sick as I was of reading it by final read-through , it still sucked me in. I take that as a sign that Backworlds #4 rocks. Thanks to all of you who volunteered to help me spread word over the next few months. If all the links aren’t live yet, they should be shortly. If you want to help, you can still SIGN UP, leave a comment saying so, or send me an email.
For many reasons I’m excited about this book. Foremost, it shoves my writing business into the self supporting category, a huge step in authordom. I think so. The Backworlds and Stopover at the Backworlds’ Edge have been out for over a year. Downloads are still consistent and sales are steady and consistent. Thank you to all of my fans and my awesome network [you] for helping me to do that and to get to this point.
None of us does this alone. Every single one of us needs support from one another.
The official launch date is October 21st. However, if you look to the sidebar or click on Beyond the Edge’s landing page, you will find some live links .

I was approached several months ago by a publisher who asked to include Semper Audacia in an anthology. After a few questions, a bit of negotiation on the contract [I insisted on an end date where all rights revert back to me], and payment, the deal was done [I also get to continue selling Semper Audacia on my own].
While on Amazon to hook up my new book to my profile, I noticed Space Jockey was up. It turned out to be way cooler than I expected.

The anthology includes ten short stories, two novelettes, and one full novella, featuring stories by: Philip K. Dick (Author), Jack Skillingstead (Author), Joself Vasicek (Author), Algis Budrys (Author), M. Pax (Author), Scott Whitmore (Author), Ethan Rodgers (Author), Jonathan Von Post (Author), Adrian Tymes (Author), Tara Maya (Editor)
I’m one of the two novelettes. A reviewer said:
13. Semper Audacia – M. Pax: Another fine example of Military SF work! I loved the “never say die” determination of an honorable soldier trying to do her job the best that she can. I also love the vivid descriptions and use of something as simple as self-motivation (just one more step) brought to a whole new level. A great read.

When Annie finds herself with an opportunity to end him, she pauses, horrified by the scars covering the face she once loved. A split second that will cost her everything …
S.K. Anthony is a writer, a reader and a make-stuff-up-er who lives in New York with her husband and toddler twins. She is a wine connoisseur, which just really means she knows she loves it, and a caffeine addict. I know this was a long IWSG post, but there was so much to tell and share. As I said above, I’d not be doing this without the support of all of you, and for that I’m extremely grateful.
Alex J. Cavanaugh, hope you’re selling tons of CassaStorms! Thanks for creating IWSG and being the pin holding this great community together. Because it is an awesome group of people.
If you’d like to join us for IWSG, we meet the first Wednesday of every month. Hosted by Alex. Sign up HERE
