After being gravely wounded by her little sister, Ava awakes in Arcadia and the City of Angels isn’t so welcoming. She is, after all, Lucifer’s Angel of Death and she has only one mission. Open the portal between Arcadia and the Nether World allowing Lucifer’s army to penetrate the gilded walls of Heaven. Too bad Arcadia has other plans. Before she has the chance to set Lucifer’s plot in motion, they send her and Devon hurtling back to Earth. Now, stripped of their powers, the two must put aside their differences and race against time to save Christa’s soul and the shattered remains of Mankind. If they fail, darkness will rule their two worlds and obliterate what is left of Earth. If they succeed, Ava could still lose everything.
Congratulations to Bonnie Rae!
Astronomizing Last Weekend
The sky didn’t cooperate much at the observatory last Friday night. Lots of smoke and clouds. They make for spectacular sunsets, though.
We had a big crowd. It’s the busiest part of the season. And we didn’t have a whole lot to show at first. We got a peak at Venus between the layers of clouds.
Viewing was very spotty after that. It did clear up more about 11:30ish when most of the guests had already gone home. This was the clearest view of the Moon I had.
Of course when I pulled into the driveway after 1 a.m., the sky was clear as a bell and the Moon laughed at me.
I’m taking this week off from the observatory. I need some down time to recharge my batteries for a big push over the next several months — revising this month, editing and formatting next month, releasing in October.
The first draft of Beyond the Edge, Backworlds 4 is done! I finished it last Friday. Now I’m in revision mode with a deadline of September 5th.
I’m taking most of the month of August off from blogging as a result to concentrate on getting this book ready for my editor. I’ll be back for IWSG on the 7th, which I’m a cohost for this month, and I’ll post for Indie Life on 14th. Other than that, my posting will be scant, spotty, and MIA.
This week I’m celebrating a few days off.
