The best emails are from those you like and show an interest in you — whether love or something less steamy. Many relationships begin and are conducted electronically these days. Like you and me, my digital friends.
Endearing Emails are Better Than All and Much Better Than None

Email messages had arrived from Maisy, Raspberry, Elrond, and Varren. What a change from the days when she’d have none. She felt closer than ever to a That Girl life. She had new clothes, men following her around, and a job interview. It was all so very adult. Hetty smiled. She read Maisy’s message first.
The extra space in the condo makes it feel really empty. Ras and I talked. We’re giving up the donuts for you. Real food in the house. You’ll be home soon? Luv, Maisy.
Hetty’s cheeks tickled and her spirit warmed. She typed back. Miss you, too. I’m in Green Bay right now. On some horrendous refueling layover. Typical L&L. Can’t wait to come home. Love, Hetty.
Raspberry’s missive was more direct. Miss you madly.
Me, too. Hetty answered.
Elrond wrote, Enjoy your trip, Exalted One. I’ll be thinking of you …
Hetty’s face burned so furiously, she sucked down cold water until the icy bottle emptied. I’ve got time to kill in Green Bay right now if you’re up for an episode. ~H.
Varren reported he’d returned from vacation. She was about to reply when an answer from Elrond popped up. She read that first.
The others aren’t responding. Have you gotten a hold of them? If not, how about a private game? ~E.
Her heart skipped a beat. Just you and me?
Yes. In a game we keep to ourselves.
More secrets. Her teeth grabbed her lower lip. Sure.

* I’m grateful for the beautiful weather here last weekend. I met my astronomy friends up at Pine Mountain Observatory on Saturday for a great night of astronomizing. Husband unit went with me. I was able to view objects I never get to see in the summer, so it was a great treat. I’ll tell you more about it when we get to O. 🙂
*I’m also grateful both of my parents are recovering and doing well. My mother had outpatient surgery and my father ended up in the hospital… Made for some tenseness. My family is so spread out — Florida, NJ [soon to be Vermont], Western NY, Ohio, and me out here, that it makes those moments especially tough. Hug those you love.
