Where is she? Where? “Thiena? Thiena!”

The harmonies went sour. In a jarring tumult they grew heavy and fell to the ground. The walls of the city came apart faster than the melodies went askew. Long-standing structures clattered in a cacophony of mayhem, millions of compositions of crystal shattering into dust. Smoke caught in my throat, choking me with thickening disaster and the unrelenting grip of loss. Like the walls which used to shimmer with song, she was gone. “Thiena.”
