Friday was icy. The wind gusted before sundown, chilling me bones, making me knees shiver. I did wear my thermal socks and my toes stayed warm. The rest of me, not so much. My hat, gloves, two sweatshirts and winter coat were not enough.
The sky was clear. Hardly any clouds, but there was a lot of muck in the air. The moon looked like it was having quite the windstorm because of the way the atmosphere danced.
It was a busy night, big crowd. The gift shop sold a Hetty.
Standing at the top of the world and under the stars did its magic, making me feel small. For some reason that always calms me.

I set the deadline with my editor last week… September 5th – to get the manuscript written and revised. Gulp. Yeah, someone will be pounding like a maniac on the keyboard for the next 8 weeks.
