Boomtown Contests
This is the last week to enter the giveaways for Boomtown Craze‘s big launch party. I’m giving away a set of paperbacks from the series — The Backworlds, Stopover at the Backworlds’ Edge, and Boomtown Craze. I’m also giving away 5 ebook copies in any format. ENTER
The crazy combo contest running on the Untethered Realms FB page is ongoing until the end of March. The prize for that is an ebook, any format. There’s not as many entrants for that one, so if you really want a copy this would be your best shot at it. Look for the little alien… ENTER

And yes, I changed my website again. I wanted to expand my branding / platform and add a bit more of the feminine. So I did.

Thank you to all of you who helped get out the word on my new book. You’re the most awesome people in the known universe.

The Oracle and The Vampire

- Title: 1305 & 1306 – The Oracle and the Vampire (The 13th Floor series, #5)
- Author: Christine Rains
- Genre: paranormal romance
- Release date: May 13th, 2013
Having fallen for her gorgeous neighbor might not be so bad if Harriet McKay wasn’t in her hideous banshee form every time Kiral saw her. Such is her curse. True, he’s a vampire struggling with a drug addiction, but he’s a good soul. Yet no one could love a cursed witch, especially one not even her cats respect.
After having a vision of Kiral’s death, Harriet makes it her mission to save him. Never before has she attempted to change fate, but so strong is her love.
How can Harriet convince Kiral to see past her vile appearance and return her love? If only she can force him to listen to reason coming from a raving crone, perhaps she can save him from the demons hunting him and from himself.

Christine Rains is on fire! She just released The Harbinger, and now this one is on the horizon. Go Christine! If you haven’t gotten into this entertaining series yet, Christine now has the first book, The Marquis, FREE on Smashwords. Connect with Christine - Blog / Website.
I think that covers everything… another packed blog day… Have a great week!

No surprise Serenity is on your list!
Congratulations, Christine.
Signed up for the Blog Blitz.
And all ready to help with W4W today.
Thanks for participating in my blogfest!
To Kill a Mocking Bird… one of those classics, that stood for so many issues… hero choice!
Following from the Top Ten Movie Countdown Blogfest.
Congratulations on the launch of Boomtown Craze! I also loved the new Star Trek movie. I think the actors had a good grasp of some of the mannerisms of the actors from the original series.
I remember watching Planet of the Apes with my dad as a little girl and getting so depressed about the statue of Liberty scene. I was an emotional child!
Love your new banner, and congrats to Christine Rains for her amazing creative output. I’ll check this out.
Serenity! Tweeted Kyra and Angela. Christine’s covers rock!
If you wanted to add feminine stuff, you could just add pictures of lace and flowers.
Inspired list Mary. Star Trek was brilliant. I never thought they could outdo Khan, but the managed to pull it off.
I liked Psycho and Logan’s Run. Saw the Psycho House at Universal in California, still looked creepy. When I see Logan’s Run, I think “RENEW”, which reinforced the fact that you can always believe the ‘powers that be’!
Good list!
That is CANNOT believe, sheesh.
So much going on today! Thank you very much for helping with my cover reveal. I’m excited about this one. Harriet is my favorite tenant! And good luck to our spotlighted authors on the W4WS today. :)
Shiny, Alex :)
It’s a sublime piece of work, Jeremy
They did a great job, LuAnn. I read somewhere that Karl Urban’s performance of McCoy made Leonard Nimoy teary
The movies scared me a little as a kid, too, Elizabeth, but they also made me think a lot
She’s a writing machine, Catherine
You aiming to misbehave, Laura? lol
Not quite the effect I was going for, Michael :)
I’m always saying, “There is nooo sanctuary,” from that movie, DG. lol I figured you meant *can’t*
I hope the new one is as brilliant, Maurice. I was surprised by how good it was, too
You’re welcome, Christine. Any time.
Oh, I love the Planet of the Apes. When I was a kid I would watch it every single time it showed up on tv, which seemed to be quite often for some reason LOL. I was kind of freaked out by it but also mesmerized by the Apes, especially Cornelius. :D
Wow, Christine is a writing machine. Her series is so good and this new one looks as great as all the rest, looking forward to reading it.
Love the new look of your site, Mary!
Very good choices. Specially the first three but I like them all.
I just now picked up “The Marquis”! and I did sign up for the for the Blog Blitz.
I somehow knew Pride and Prejudice would be on that list. ;)
Love the new header! And congrats to Christine!
Lots of people have Serenity on their list. I definitely have to check that movie out!

I’ve got all my #W4Ws tweets scheduled. And Sliding Doors! One of the few flicks I actually own a copy of. Love it!! Darn, should’ve listed that one!
Yeah, I like shaking things up a little bit too. Christine is doing a great job with the 13th Floor series.
Woo hoo! Tons of fun stuff going on! And look at that Oracle & Vampire… reow! Hope you’re having a fab day, Mary~ <3
Cornelius and Zera were my favorites, too, Laura

I still think about that movie, Nancy
She definitely is, Joy
Reow is right, Leigh :) Happy Monday!

To Kill A Mockingbird – I didn’t think anyone other than me would mention that one – great pick :)! Love the new Star Trek too!
logans run & clueless! are surprise goodies in your list! love that!
and love your characters in the header!
I’ve only seen a few of the films on your list. I probably should see To Kill a Mockingbird, since I love classic films far more than anything modern.
TO Kill a Mockingbird – love that movie and book!
I haven’t see To Kill A Mockingbird in a long time. I wonder if my kids will apreciate this classic.
Thanks, Carol!
It’s such a great movie, Tyrean … Star Trek, too
Clueless is fun. Sometimes I’m in the mood just for some silly fun, Tara
It’s one of the best, Carrie-Anne. I enjoy classic movies, too
It’s a beautiful story, Deniz
I hope they would, Stephen
Pride and Prejudice is also on my list, it’s no 1. Oh, Mr. Darcy… sigh
All great movies for sure. I love, love the new look of your blog, it’s fantastical and intriguing. I’m all signed for the blog blitz, it’s going to be great.
I love all Christine’s covers. I wonder if she new the cover models.
That rascally, Mr. Darcy. I saw Willoughby in a Hallmark channel movie the other day. Have a great week, Adriana
Thank you, Melissa.
She told me she used stock art, Michael. I asked her about her covers.
Lots of action here at your place Mary! :)
To Kill A Mockingbird… now there’s an evergreen story! I need to read it again.
I’ve signed up for Blog Blitz and can’t wait to ———BLITZ somebody!
I’ve already tweeted for Angela and Kyra.
I haven’t seen Star Trek, or any movie version of P&P (but want to – I just cling to the Firth/Ehle miniseries version as I love it so much). I’ve seen S&S but can’t really remember it too well. LOVE Serenity, a lot. I remember liking Sliding Doors too, but haven’t seen it in ages. Also love Clueless, it’s in my DVD collection. :) The rest I haven’t seen.
Oops, posted with a link to my old blog URL, so here is a comment with a link to my new URL :)
I need to read it again, too, Michelle. It’s such a sublime work.
S&S is my favorite and I thought they did a great job with the film adaptation. I love the Firth version of P&P, but also enjoy the newer/shorter version. They both have pluses.
thank you for kicking to the valley girls with Clueless!!! thank you Alicia Silverstone for making fashion fun!
Great movie choices. I love that Clueless is on your list! What awesome news about your books. Wishing you much success! :) The changes to the blog look awesome!
Clueless feels a bit random in your list, but it is an enjoyable movie. :3
