Back From the Future

I’m teaming up with the lovely Suze of Subliminal Coffee, and Nicki Elson, for the Back from the Future Blogfest. Friday, March 1st!

bftfYou’re up before dawn on a Saturday when the doorbell rings. You haven’t brewed your coffee so you wonder if you imagined the sound. Plonking the half-filled carafe in the sink, you go to the front door and cautiously swing it open. No one there. As you cast your eyes to the ground, you see a parcel addressed to you … from you.

You scoop it up and haul it inside, sensing something legitimate despite the extreme oddness of the situation. Carefully, you pry it open. Inside is a shoebox — sent from ten years in the future – and it’s filled with items you have sent yourself.

What’s in it?

And the LinkyLink:

What a grueling few weeks it’s been. My brain is woggy most of the time lately, but I’m past the halfway point on the polishing and revisioning of Boomtown Craze. Woot! I should finish next week with a day or two to spare to kick back and do nothing. Maybe. We’ll see if I’m capable of that.

I need to write a blurb. I need to decide on a title for book #4, too. I’m thinking Beyond the Edge so far. If you’re familiar with the series, Lepsi went missing in Stopover. Book 4 is about the search for Lepsi which takes Craze and his friends ‘beyond the edge’. I wanted to call it The Search for Lepsi, but Husband Unit vetoed that.

Have a great weekend everybody! I’ll be revisioning. Although I’m supposed to meet my astronomy boyfriends for dinner tomorrow night for a bit of frivolity. Depends whether it snows and how much.

  1. Love the set up for the blogfest. Is it just me or is the Linky not there?

  2. No Linky sign up!
Now what on earth would I send myself…?

  5. Linky sign-up is under her blogs, bloghops and launch parties tab and can be accessed also by clicking here and here.

  6. I really like “Beyond the Edge.” It sounds so mysterious.

Maybe what will be in your shoebox is anti-woggy pills that you will develop. ;)

  7. It wasn’t back from the future yet, Simon.

That’s what I get for creating posts this week, Alex. I hope my brain will be less woggy next week.

    Have a wonderful weekend, LG!

I hope so, too, Julie, but the weather isn’t promising. Forecast says snow, snow, snow.

    All fixed now, Suze.

Anti-woggy pills would be great, Laura. Obviously this post showed the evidence of the effects of a woggy brain.

  8. Blogfests are popping up all over BloggyVille!
This is a great idea… mmm… let me put on my thinking cap.

  9. That’s a pretty cool idea for a blogfest!

  10. Oh noes! The chronometer on my Delorean malfunctioned yet again, and my shoebox just showed up on my doorstep!!

I was too curious to wait until March, so yeah, I just opened it. All that was in it was a crumpled piece of paper. On it was scrawled, in my own handwriting, two sentences:

    It was NOT too late.
And oh yes, it was worth it!!

  11. Har! I’ve already signed up! :)

  12. Love the idea of the blogfest! I’ll keep it in mind and think if I can figure up something to write for it. Good luck with revisions!!

  13. Great idea for a blogfest MPax. I’m in.

  14. Bloggyville is very active on all counts lately, Michelle.

All credit goes to Suze. I merely created the Linkylink that was MIA for awhile.

    What a wonderful note, Loretta.

    Woot, Lynda!

Want to come up with my post, too, Cherie? :D Thanks, now besides woggy, I’m bleary, punchy and a bit silly.

  15. Just signed up for the blogfest!

    Good luck with your revisions.

  16. Hope you get to enjoy that frivolity – you deserve it! I’m so happy to be your Back From the Future Buddy. This is going to be fun. :D

Have fun with the revisions, and may the perfect title pop right into your head.

  17. What a fun blogfest! Good luck with your revisions and have a wonderful weekend.

  18. Sounds like fun. Will have to check schedule and check back.

  19. Well, Mary, a scifi type of blogfest is just too irrestible, I’m in on the list. It didn’t take me long to ponder. And it’s March 1, that allows some time for thinking about the shoebox. Good idea, Mary, Suze and Nicki. Should be fun.

  20. Sounds like a fun blogfest. If I think of enough stuff, I’ll enter :)
Happy weekend, no matter what you do.

  21. Excellent, Eagle!

I hope I get some, Nicki. I need some. I’ve bee rewatching the Tudors when I get some down time.

You have a wonderful weekend, too, Christine.

I’m glad you’ll be joining us, DG.

I better come up with something, Carol.

  22. That’s great you’re almost done with revisions!

  23. Get some rest!!! The bloghop sounds cool. :)

  24. I can’t wait until they’re over, Tonja.

I slept in today, as much as my cats would allow. Have a great weekend, Libby.

    Michael Pierce says:

Beyond the Edge is a great title. That’s a creative blogfest. I will be pondering what’s in my box for awhile. I hope there’s cool stuff in it! Haha.

  25. I believe that’s the title I’m going with, Michael. Thanks for stopping in.

  26. Ooh this is a great concept! Signing up. :-)

  27. This sounds like fun! Can’t wait to hear what is in the box. :)

  28. I signed up. Should be fun!

  29. What an interesting blogfest! I wonder if anyone will write a novel or short story based on their answer? It seems like you could put together an anthology from those.
    “Beyond the Edge” sounds good!

  30. I wasn’t going to be doing any blogfests for awhile. But this is time travel. You’ve talked me into it.
