Christine Rains Has a New Series Coming, The 13th Floor

Awesome. I love Christine’s writing. The first of this paranormal romance series is coming out December 13th and is titled, 1301 – The Marquis.

Life after Hell isn’t more exciting than watching football and fixing a busted pipe. Once a powerful demon, Marc enjoys his quiet existence and a good cup of coffee. With big ambitions to gain his master’s favor, a trickster demon named Vetis shatters Marc’s peace and vows to deliver Marc’s head to the fires of Hell. Not before he destroys everything Marc cares about, of course.

Marc’s power has diminished over the years. Heaven will never grant him absolution, and he refuses to return to Hell. Running isn’t an option. The city of Carmine is his territory. It’s also home to his favorite cafe owner, Mae Hopkins. The dame has a lovely smile, but it’s her heart and soul that shine bright.

While his city burns and his love is captured, Marc must decide to surrender or let hate and anger fuel him to become the fearsome beast he so loathes: The Marquis. If the Marquis rises, Vetis can be defeated and Mae saved, but Marc would be lost to his demon forever.

Did you hear Hetty Locklear was written for geek girls? Insecure? Weight and food issues? Hetty’s just like you.

A New Adult Urban Fantasy, The Renaissance of Hetty Locklear is the first book in a new series. And it’s now out! My main character, Hetty, is a twenty-two-year-old stumbling about in an effort to become a full-fledged adult. She struggles with self-esteem, weight, relationships, and making the transition between college and the real world.

Graduation from community college isn’t the magic elixir Hetty Locklear counts on for becoming an adult. Her parents, who work the Renaissance fair circuit, insist she spend part of the summer with them. Hetty doubts pretending to live in the Middle Ages will help her find her way.

To make it worse, an entity haunts her at her dead-end job, warning her of a dangerous man she doesn’t know. The ghost leads her to a lover who has a lot of secrets. He pulls her farther into peril and into a strange, hidden world of genetic experimentation.

New Adult Urban Fantasy with a contemporary sci-fi twist. Mature content.

  1. S’wounds! What a show of skill by Knight of Uber, Ghost Knight, Gibberish Knight, Knight McSquee, Knight of the Whispering Woods, Knight of the Fae Forest, Knight Light, Stormy Knight, and Knight Aidensdein.

The grog has increased the number of tosspots and cutpurses, Lords and Ladies, prithee be careful of thy coin and jewels. Pray tell, who is that poppet and wherefore is it wearing the jester’s clothes? Hark I must get out of the sun. Forsooth the heat.

  2. It is wonderful to see you attending the joust, Lady Shelley.

I agree, Lady Tania. Stormy Knight has shown much skill.

Welcome back Lord Alex and Ladies Diane, Laura, Cherie, Ellie, and Julie.

A pleasure to have you here, Lady CandiLynn

  3. Hi Mary … Fae Knight – whose cutpurse sadler has taken off into the distant Royal forest – Fae Knight is now without his saddle or a stitcher for his leather work … oh my oh my .. a Knight undone …

    Cheers Hilary

  4. Huzzah! The first day results are in …

S’wounds! I apologize me Lady M for such a poor showing …. BUT, today is a new day and the Knight of the Whispering Woods is ready to champion you.

  5. What a magnificent first day, Lady Mary! My darling poppet enjoyed the jousting and is eager to cheer for Knight Aidensdein again. Huzzah for Knight Aidensdein!

And a great thank you for participating in my cover reveal. The Grand Marquis would quite enjoy the jousting!

  6. Hark! I, the Ghost Knight, appeareth upon the field like the wind, a swift and sturdy presence in armor, armed with yon pointy pole to joust in honor of Milady Pax. Huzzah!!

  7. Another great showing today. Wow, those lances look painful.

Come have tea with me, Lady Hilary. It’s wonderful to see you. And you as well, Ladies Katy, Christine, Leigh, and Amanda.

Lord Michael, you cheer very well. Some wine will make sure you can keep cheering.

Stormy Knight your armor and skill makes me swoon.

  8. Huzzah! Joust do it, Knight of Uber. Thy winning cup will overfloweth with the Grog of Spit Toon’s Saloon. Thou mount needeth to moveth its arsusth. Once more unto the breach . It’s the leach you can do., if you ever wish to showeth your muggeth at the saloon, again.

  9. Hail! Hail!! The triumphant Ghost Knight approacheth victory!! The cybercrowd cheereth on such a vain contraption! Hark, I do hear the sound of tiny hoofbeats…but wait…it is liken unto the smallest of taps. What doth thine eyes perceive! Yay, what sorcery is this? Thine master of the ring doth call it a ‘keyboard’? Forsooth, who shall slay such a beast? Perhaps the noble Ghost Knight will trounce the foes within and pervail mightily against such odds.

  10. Loving the sound of 1301 The Marquis- thanks so much for introducing me to this author! Great post- the jousting looks as though it’s going really well! HUZZAH! ~ Jess

  11. I vote for all- but myself of course:

Hark- Ghost Knight. No foolery of the Knight of the Fae Forest. For I shall s’wounds you and Knight of the Whispering Woods into tosspots like Knight Mcsqee there, though I doubt any Knight could bare Violence without some ale to cool the sting, myself included.
Oh and donne worry poppet Knight Aidersdein. My cutpurse told me all the wherefores of ypu and Stormy Knights battles of late.

Prithee, knight of Uber and praytell Knight Light and Gibberish Knight of the Triange Ottoman, how can we joust if not in conversation?

Forsooth, Lady Max has fine prizes to be won.

    On the Marrow,
    ~Knight of the Fae Forest.

  12. This is to……..
    Knight of the Fae Forest!
Maybe thou shalt stop being a cutpurse, for it may cost!
Uh… but that’s not true! My mom is not a cutpurse!
    Love you mom!

  13. I think I just voted for everybody with this one. At least I hope so because this took more thinking that my brain was prepared to give, but I pushed it and got the following:

Hark! forsooth Ghost Knight hath been informeth of cutpurses banding. We shant allow silly poppets to treat our fair Ladies and Lords as waylaid tosspots. Let us s’wounds the crowds, prithee, uniting in their defense. Pray tell wherefore we’ve not done this before? Hear me Stormy Knight, Knight of The Whispering Woods, Knight of Uber and Protector of Fandom, Knight McSquee. Calleth Knight Aidensdein and the Knight of Fae Forest. To Knight Light and Gibberish Knight of the Triangle Ottoman. Let us stand for justice and all that is good and right. Then let’s get back to knocking each other around with our lances lol!!

  14. All the knights are doing themselves proud.

Nice set of armor you have on today, Ghost Knight.

I did see that Lord Jay. Ouch.

Welcome, Lord Spit Toon! What a great cheer for the Knight of Uber.

Lovely to see you return Lady Sherry.

I’m looking forward to Christine’s new book, Jess.

How honorable of you Knight of the Fae Forest. Your armor sprinkles so beautifully.

Christine is a great author, Jackie.

Thank you for stopping by young Jasmyne. It’s great to see the young so involved in the games. Would you care for some tea?

it is very hard using all the words, Angela. I was saying to the Husband Unit that the folks in the Middle Ages would laugh and probably not understand a word we say.

  15. I champion Knight McSquee , and dare any blithering “tosspots” to try to cross her.

Congrats on gathering the bravest knights together in your honor Lady Mary.

  16. Prithee, fair LAdy Mary, allow me to tie my kercheif around the neck of the Knight of Uber, for he is brave yet gentle, strong yet kind. My beloved.
