I've seen a few episodes and the're worth watching, but nothing to geek out over. A new version sounds great, but can anyone really take the idea of a flying moon seriously? Sounds like a hard sell.

Any good sci-fi on TV at this point would be awesome. I remember a little about Space 1999, but not enough. Looking forward to the new one.

The original isn't on Netflix, only in dvd form, I checked. I didn't watch consistently. Some space opera, even if just a movie event, on TV would be very welcome.

I tried to watch the original show many times growing up but never quite got the concept of the show. Was the moon hurtled out of the solar system or something? Anyway, I'll watch if they put it on. Well, I'll at least record it.

I'm going to look for the original on Netflix, Allan. I hope it's there.

Glad you had your own Eagle, Mike. We have no--zero-zippo-nada, space based sci-fi on American TV right now. So, I hope this sees the light of day.

Loved the series when it first aired in the UK and it was one of the shows me and my friends emulated in the back year with garden furniture as an Eagle cockpit and lego comm units.
I have reservations about this project but right now television is a little light on actual space based science fiction so I would love to be worrying for nothing:)

Cool. I used to like that series - in fact I've been eye-balling the DVD collection of it to have another run through. Maybe I'll wait to see where they run the new series and if I have access to it. Could be good! Thanks!
